Grape Stomp Rules & Application

Welcome to
the Festa Italiana Bolla Grape Stomp. Your mission,
should you decide to accept, is as follows:
Objective
The objective of each three-person team is to crush the most
juice from 20 pounds of grapes in four minutes.
Participants
-
Each
team consists of three participants, 18 years of age or
older and in good health. All team members are required
to sign the Grape Stomp Waiver-Release.

Only
teams that submit the entry fee of $15.00 per team, a
completed application 7 waiver-release will be
officially entered to compete.

Each
team will consist of three stompers/collectors. Only one
person will be permitted to stomp at a time.

Applications and entry fees must be received prior to
Festa date.

Stomp
Rules
-
The
Grape Stomp will consist of heats beginning at 12:40pm
each day. The last heat will take place at
approximately 4:45pm
-
Each
team will have a barrel with 20 pounds of grapes to
stomp. The team collecting the most juice in their heat
will be the winner.

Team
members who are stomping must use bare feet.

One
four-minute heat allows 3 minutes of stomping and 1
minute of juice collecting.

A five
gallon jug will be used to collect the juice.

The
juice will be measured by the judge. The judges
decisions are final.

All
participants will be awarded t-shirts.
-
There
will be an optional Peoples Choice Award for Best Team
Costume contest for the teams to compete in if they
desire.
